We review Maranello Cafe' Restorante, Salisbury, 5108.
Location: Maranello Café is located at 4 John Street, Salisbury, about 26 km North of Adelaide CBD. Plenty of free car parking close by, so you do not need to worry about parking.
Venue: It is a large café with plenty of space between tables and booths. There is also an outside alfresco eating area when the weather is nice.
The walls have some nice modern artwork and TVs for those who want to keep up with the sports while out to eat.
Selection/Toppings: The menu is extensive, and there are lots on offer besides Schnitzel’s. I was amazed at the whole page dedicated to Schnitzels and toppings. I doubt you would not be able to find something to your liking.
Size: I saw a review online saying the Schnitzels were massive, but that depends on what you are used to. Well, that must be seen to be believed. They are the biggest Schnitzels I have ever eaten, and they were served not on your standard dinner plates. The plates had to be at least 40cm. They were hanging off the edge of the plate and packed with chips.
Thickness: It was thin and crispy, but a decent 5mm thick beef Schnitzel was sufficient given the final size.
Taste: My selection, a beef meat cravers Parmi, had a Great crispy crumb coating. It had Napolitana Sauce, ham, crispy bacon, Salami, pepperoni, chorizo, and melted Mozzarella Cheese. It was well-cooked and generously topped.
Salad: Nice and fresh Standard Small bowl of side salad with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Carrot, cucumber and a tasty dressing.
Price: This is not the cheapest Schnitzel around. A basic beef/Chicken schnitzel starts at $27.00, and adding most toppings adds an extra $3.00 to $6.00. My choice was $33.00.
It is a delightful café with a great atmosphere, family-friendly, quick service, and many food options. It definitely has a high rating for Biggest and Best Schnitzel in Town.
Will be back!
